We maintain a business profile on Twitter.

We use the technical platform and services of Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103 USA. The controller responsible for individuals living outside the United States is Twitter International Company, One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2 D02 AX07, Ireland.

The information collected by this provider’s cookies is usually sent to a server in the US and stored there. If the data is transferred to the US, the data transfer is based on the existence of standard contractual clauses.

We have no influence over the type or scope of the data processed by Twitter, the type of processing or use or the transfer of this data to third parties. Nor do we have any effective means of monitoring these aspects. When you use Twitter, your personal data is collected, transferred, stored, disclosed, and used by Twitter Inc. and, in the process, transferred to and stored and used in the United States, Ireland and any other country in which Twitter Inc. does business, regardless of your place of residence. Twitter processes your data that you enter voluntarily such as name and user name, e-mail address, phone number, or the contacts of your address book when you upload or synchronize it. We can only view certain non-personal information about tweet activity in your account, such as the number of profile or link clicks from a particular tweet.

Finally, Twitter also receives information when you perform actions such as viewing content even if you have not created an account. This “log data” may be the IP address, browser type, operating system, information about the previously accessed website, your location, your mobile carrier, your end-user device (including device ID and application ID), the search terms you used, and cookie information.

Twitter buttons or widgets embedded in websites and the use of cookies enable Twitter to log your visits to these websites and associate them with your Twitter profile. This data can be used to offer content or advertising that is tailored to you. Twitter Inc. is a non-European provider whose only European office is in Ireland and, according to its own interpretation, is thus not bound by German data protection regulations. This concerns, for example, your rights to access, blocking or erasure of data or the ability to object to the use of usage data for advertising purposes.

We also process your data. While we ourselves do not collect any data through your Twitter account, we do process the data you enter on Twitter, including, without limitation, your user name and the content published under your account, insofar as we may re-tweet or reply to your tweets or also compose tweets spontaneously that refer to your account. We thus include the data you freely publish and disseminate on Twitter in our social media presence and make it available to our followers.
