Our own products make a noticeable difference in the everyday work of admins and users. They address very specific challenges and make work easier, safer and thus ensure a positive user experience. And we always want to continue to increase this and are therefore continuously working on the further development of our own solutions.
In our blog series “What’s News?”, we give you an overview of what’s new with our products.
EBF Contacts – the mobile address book: Now even better linked to Microsoft Teams
Via the EBF Contacts app, all relevant professional contacts are always available on the mobile device – with up-to-date data and useful information, without any manual effort. In this way, EBF Contacts ensures better networking between colleagues and with external contacts.
Since version 2.1, the interaction between EBF Contacts and Microsoft Teams has been implemented even better, while new filter options provide a better overview in large address books.
What’s new in EBF Contacts 2.1
- Display of Microsoft Teams status: In the contact view of O365 contacts, you can see which Teams status a contact has. This allows users to better assess whether a person is currently available and can be called.
- New filtering options: Contacts can be filtered by data source. This gives users a better overview of different contact groups.
- Duplicate merge: Contacts that exist in different data sources can be merged. This avoids duplication.
EBF Onboarder – the UEM migration tool: Now even more communicative
The EBF Onboarder ensures a largely automated migration of devices from one UEM system to another. The solution simplifies communication with end users and offers comprehensive reporting options. This supports two essential success factors for migration projects.
And since communication is central to a project’s success, we are constantly improving the communication features of the EBF Onboarder – as we did with version 2.13.0.
New features of EBF Onboarder 2.13.0
- Template sets: In larger migration projects, e.g. where different countries and languages are affected or different target groups are to be addressed, it may be necessary to send different messages. For this purpose, the communication tool of the EBF Onboarder supports with various template sets.
- High-priority reminder emails: If the invitation to migrate has not yet been successful, reminder emails are now sent with high priority to better attract users’ attention.
EBF Files – secure, mobile access to company data: Updates for uploads, exports and security
With EBF Files , users can securely access relevant files via their smartphones and tablets – regardless of whether they are stored on server structures or in their company’s cloud services. But that’s not all: Files can be created, edited and shared with others – ensuring high productivity when working remotely.
What’s New in EBF Files 3.1.2
- New upload manager: A new upload manager makes it possible to get an overview of all pending uploads. In addition, upload details can be displayed and uploads can be stopped or deleted.
- Handling the encryption password: Administrators can disable the ability of users to choose an encryption password themselves. In this case, a self-generated password is used to encrypt the data.
- New export options: The export of Office files to a PDF format is possible.
EBF Print – easy, secure printing: Now also from macOS devices
EBF Print enables users to print conveniently and securely. The product is based on the AirPrint standard and, combined with “Follow Me” solutions, ensures that employees can send files to all print installations shared with them – from any AirPrint-supporting app, without having to install an app or driver and without having to be in the local network.
Previously, this was only possible from iOS devices – since EBF Print 2.6.0, all advantages also apply to macOS devices.
What’s new in EBF Print 2.6.0
- macOS devices: EBF Print is now also available for macOS devices. All common UEM systems are supported – from Ivanti EPMM to Microsoft Intune to Workspace ONE.
- Support for multiple UEM systems: If several UEM systems are in use in a company, EBF Print can be easily connected to all systems in one instance.
- AirPrint 2.1. compatibility: EBF Print is compatible with the latest AirPrint standard (2.1.).
